About us: 
LEAF is a non-profit organization with a mission to contribute to developing young people with the potential to grow into shapers of Slovakia demonstrating:

• Character (moral qualities based on integrity, respect for others, and humanness),
• Excellence (a holistic personality exceptional in one or two areas fueled by curiosity, inner motivation, and grit),

In the aim to fulfill this mission, LEAF has launched a portfolio of programs focusing on

1. Improving education experience of talented high school students (e.g. mentoring portal, leadership camps, scholarships, teacher mentoring);
2. Mitigation of brain-drain (e.g. jobs and internships in Slovakia);
3. Development of talented young professionals (e.g. skill-based volunteering program).

Which challenges are waiting for you:

Communication:

• Proactively approaching candidates that fit the job requirements and motivating them to consider the next career step in Slovakia (LinkedIn, e-mail, telephone, etc.)
• Conducting brief screens and interviews (via video-conference, telephone, or in person)
• Attending events relevant for engaging with the Slovak professional diaspora (in Slovakia and abroad)
• Serving as a resource for any incoming candidate queries and providing support for the returnees
  
  

Creativity and development:

• Designing, developing and implementing new communication tools and infrastructure to facilitate communication and promotion of opportunities provided by LEAF (community, jobs, give-back projects, etc.) among Slovak professional diaspora worldwide
• Designing, developing and implementing new spin-off programs for specific interest groups to ensure a broad portfolio of activities suitable for the diverse target group. 
• Developing know-how for finding Slovak professionals abroad across various industries
  
  

 Administration/Coordination:

• Scheduling and coordination of interviews with candidates and hiring managers
• Administering cooperation with partnering organizations
• Responsibility for preparing and managing online job board postings
• Managing candidate files, including maintenance of internal databases to ensure comprehensive data collection of all candidates 
  
  

Analytical tasks:

• Assisting in the design of creative sourcing initiatives such as referral campaigns to find Slovak professionals with expertise in particular industry
• Providing ad hoc analysis such as tracking reports, insight of trends, comparative analyses of best international practices, etc.

Experience

• Education: Bachelor degree of higher
• Experience: ideally 3+ years in HR industry (head-hunting and/or recruitment and/or consulting)
• International experience is not a requirement, but a relevant advantage
• Advanced level of English language
• Advanced level of PC skills (MS Office)

 Travel abroad is occasionally required, however it is not expected to exceed 30 % of total work time.

Background information:

The LEAF Slovak Professional Abroad Program (SPAP) seeks to create links between Slovak students and professionals living abroad and Slovakia, and to help those who are considering their return to Slovakia. We are building a community, we help to facilitate job offers in Slovakia and we seek voluntary assistance from abroad for non-profit initiatives at home.
Over the last 3 years we have been running an initiative for students and graduates from universities abroad to present them interesting opportunities back home in Slovakia: www.prilezitostidoma.sk. Last year as well as this year we also successfully piloted individual opportunities for more senior candidates (10+ years) from abroad. As we see increasing demand for such candidates among our partnering organizations as well as rising individual requests from Slovak professionals abroad wishing to return home, we have decided to strengthen our SPAP team with a new colleague focussing primarily on this target group.
