Main challenge: Provide end-to-end recruitment and selection support for the talent identification campaigns lead by the leaders of the various LEAF initiatives (e.g., selection of high-school students for scholarships to study abroad, summer school, selection of university students for internships, selection of young professionals for skills-based volunteering, etc.)

In the aim to fulfill this mission, LEAF has launched a portfolio of programs focusing on

1. Improving education experience of talented high school students (e.g. mentoring portal, leadership camps, scholarships, teacher mentoring);
2. Mitigation of brain-drain (e.g. internships in Slovakia);
3. Development of talented young professionals (e.g. skill-based voluntary program).

What challenges are waiting for you:

• Defining the selection criteria (e.g., integrity, excellence, leadership potential) and the methodology (CV screening, assessment center, interview, verifying references,...) for selection of candidates against these criteria, aligning all involved in selection process
• Coordinating the selection process (e.g., input on selection dates, coordinating schedule for interviewers, scheduling decision making meetings, communication, etc.) among all relevant stakeholders (e.g. initiative leader, other interviewers, etc.)
• Assessing/ Screening applicant’s competencies against agreed requirements by using appropriate methods (documents screening, assessment center, interview, verifying references,...) and providing recommendations on candidate selection to the initiative leaders
• Continuously improving the talent identification and selection processes by providing input to the initiative leaders on effective ways to attract the right target population, educating and coaching other team members on approach to selection of the desired candidates
• Maintaining database of all applicants across all initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with legal and staff management practices regarding confidentiality of students’ private data
• Identifying best practices in selection of the desired target audiences and suggesting relevant improvements
